Headline: Bristol City’s Michael Skubala Acknowledges Wolves’ Strength Ahead of Championship Clash
Bristol City manager Michael Skubala recognizes that Wolverhampton Wanderers, set to visit on Wednesday, ranks as one of the top three teams in the Championship but asserts they are not invincible.
Wolves currently sit third in the league, having achieved victories in three of their last four matches.
“There is no doubt they have quality in their side,” Skubala stated during an interview with BBC Radio Bristol.
He emphasized the importance of Bristol City maintaining possession effectively when the ball changes hands. “We are going to have to be better in those moments when we get it. As individuals, we are going to have to be cleaner,” he noted.
Skubala shared that developing a strong game plan is critical to limiting Wolves’ strengths while targeting their vulnerabilities. Despite the presence of numerous players with Premier League backgrounds in the Wolves squad, he conveyed enthusiasm about the challenge.
“West Ham, Middlesbrough and them [Wolves] for me are very strong teams in this division but that’s what we enjoy,” Skubala added.
“We want to pitch ourselves against the best and see where we are at,” he concluded.
