São Paulo and Corinthians Set for Crucial Majestoso Derby in Brasileirão
São Paulo and Corinthians have announced their lineups ahead of the pivotal Majestoso derby taking place this Wednesday, October 4th, as part of the 33rd round of the Brasileirão. The match will be hosted at Vila Belmiro, home of Santos, due to Morumbis being occupied for recent concerts.
With the derby looming, Corinthians find themselves under significant pressure to secure a victory that could lift them out of the relegation zone.
For São Paulo, forward Artur has recovered from his injury and is back in contention. The team has made four changes from their last game, with R. Toloi, Djhordney, Iago, and Artur stepping in for Sabino, Wendell, Pablo Maia, and Calleri. Notably, the Argentine striker Calleri will start on the bench as he is dealing with muscle discomfort.
On the other hand, Corinthians will be without Matheuzinho, who is serving a suspension and will not participate in the derby. Pedro Milans will take his place in the lineup.
