Raphinha Signs Contract Extension with Barcelona Until 2030

FC Barcelona Extends Captain Raphinha’s Contract Until 2030

FC Barcelona has taken significant steps to secure the future of club captain Raphinha, successfully renewing his contract until the summer of 2030. The 29-year-old forward previously had a deal that was set to expire in the summer of 2028, but the recent agreement will see him remain at the club for an additional two years.

“FC Barcelona and Raphael Dias Belloli, known in the football world as Raphinha, have reached an agreement to extend the player’s contract, keeping him at the club until 30 June 2030,” a statement from the club confirmed.

Raphinha joined Barcelona from Leeds United in the summer of 2022 and has quickly established himself as an invaluable asset. Although he faced some challenges in earlier seasons under former manager Xavi Hernandez, his performance has notably improved under the guidance of Hansi Flick.

The Brazilian international has made 190 appearances for Barcelona, contributing 94 goals and 62 assists. This season, he has taken on the role of first captain and shifted to a center-forward position, thriving to score 19 goals and provide three assists in just 13 matches.

Despite interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia, Raphinha has consistently expressed his desire to remain with Barcelona, further solidified by this new contract that extends his commitment to the club for four more years.
