Rodrigo Mora Earns First Call-Up to Portuguese National Team
Rodrigo Mora is preparing to debut with the senior Portuguese national team. The young talent from Roma has received his first call-up from head coach Jorge Jesus for the upcoming matches against Denmark and Wales.
During a recent press conference, Jesus addressed the possibility of Mora playing behind the center forward, a role currently filled by Joao Felix. Although the two players possess different technical skills, the coach believes they can excel in the same position. He stated, “They have the characteristics to play that position very well.”
Jesus went on to highlight Mora’s contributions at Roma in the early part of the current season, noting, “At Roma, Rodrigo was very involved in the attack, scoring goals and providing assists. He’s part of what I have in mind for these two matches.”
The first match for the national team is set for November 14th in Braga against Denmark, followed by a match in Cardiff against Wales three days later, where Portugal will conclude their Nations League campaign.
