Liverpool Targets Brighton Keeper as Transfer Talks Heat Up
Liverpool is exploring the possibility of acquiring Brighton and Netherlands goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen, 24, as uncertainty looms over the future of their current Brazilian international Alisson Becker, 34, whose contract is set to expire next summer.
Bayern Munich is actively negotiating with the representatives of Liverpool’s 18-year-old England winger Rio Ngumoha, after making initial contact earlier this year. The German club sees Ngumoha as a potential transfer option for the upcoming summer window.
In addition to Verbruggen, Liverpool is also showing strong interest in Brighton’s promising Croatian centre-back Luka Vuskovic, 19, as they look for a successor to Virgil van Dijk, 35.
Both Chelsea and Liverpool are competing for the signing of 21-year-old Senegal left-back El Hadji Malick Diouf from Brentford. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace, Everton, and Leeds United are monitoring Tottenham midfielder Conor Gallagher. However, it appears unlikely that Spurs will allow the 26-year-old England international to depart.
Chelsea may also initiate contract discussions with England defender Levi Colwill, whose current contract runs until 2029, especially as Barcelona considers a potential transfer bid for the 23-year-old in January.
Manchester United has been impressed with the performances of Rennes and Cameroon left-back Mahamadou Nagida, 21, following a series of positive scouting reports.
In another development, Liverpool’s Jeremie Frimpong has reportedly been offered to Saudi Pro League team Al-Hilal, just 18 months after his £29.5 million transfer to Anfield from Bayer Leverkusen.
