Barcelona Wonderkid Targets Interest from Aston Villa and Everton – Report

Premier League Clubs Eye Barcelona Prodigy Ebrima Tunkara

Aston Villa and Everton have expressed interest in Barcelona academy talent Ebrima Tunkara, according to a report from Mundo Deportivo. The 16-year-old talent from La Masia is being recognized as one of the most promising young players in the Barcelona ranks, attracting attention from multiple Premier League teams.

In recent visits by English intermediaries to the Ciutat Esportiva, Tunkara has received outstanding reviews, further increasing the interest from clubs such as Aston Villa and Everton. Presently, these two teams appear to be the frontrunners in pursuing the attacking midfielder.

Earlier this week, Aston Villa had an opportunity to observe Tunkara closely during the UEFA Youth League, where he scored in a thrilling 3-3 match against an English counterpart. Reports suggest that there have been efforts to persuade Tunkara to consider moving to England for his continued football development.

Barcelona Remains Unmoved by English Interest

Nevertheless, Barcelona seems unconcerned by the interest from the Premier League. The club regards Tunkara as a vital component of its future strategy and has extended his contract until 2029. The player himself has not indicated any desire to leave the club either.

Tunkara, who hails from Gambia, has been a part of Barcelona’s youth setup since the 2018/19 season and has quickly established himself as one of the academy’s standout players. After making his debut with Barça Atletic at just 15 years old in February, he has developed into a key figure for the team under coach Juliano Belletti.

This past summer, Tunkara also trained with the first team under coach Hansi Flick during preseason and has continued to train regularly with senior players following Dani Olmo’s injury. Reports confirm that Tunkara is integrated into the Barcelona first team dynamics, making any potential move away from the club highly unlikely.
