Roma has identified Nicolò Tresoldi as the primary candidate to replace Malen.

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Club Brugge forward has already expressed interest in the move. Tresoldi has also consulted with Niccolò Pisilli regarding the potential deal; the two players first met during an Under-19 international match in 2022 and have maintained contact since.

Negotiations for the striker are expected to accelerate next week.

Transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà notes that while Tresoldi is attracting interest from several clubs, he is currently waiting for Roma to initiate formal talks.

The Giallorossi management holds the striker in high regard. Recent reports suggest that Roma may pursue the transfer regardless of whether they finalize a sale for Artem Dovbyk.
