Paris Saint-Germain have expressed interest in signing Aston Villa left-back Lucas Digne, 32, according to reports from Daily Mail Sport.

The two clubs have reportedly opened discussions regarding a potential transfer for the defender. Digne remains under contract with the Villans until 2028, but PSG view him as a strong candidate to provide competition for 24-year-old Nuno Mendes. The club also considers the move a bargain, as the Frenchman reportedly holds a release clause valued at approximately €10m.

If the transfer proceeds, the Meaux-born player would return to his former club, having previously made 44 appearances for PSG between 2013 and 2016. This move would represent a return to his roots for the 32-year-old, who spent the last four seasons at Aston Villa. During his time there, Digne became a key figure in Unai Emery’s squad and played a significant role in the club’s Europa League title success last season.

Despite sharing responsibilities with 24-year-old Ian Maatsen throughout the 2025-26 campaign, Digne featured in 44 matches across all competitions and contributed seven assists.
