Venezia Close to Securing Deal for Sevilla Striker Akor Adams
Venezia are on the verge of signing Sevilla striker Akor Adams in a transfer deal worth €16m plus additional bonuses, with club director Filippo Antonelli confirming that negotiations are at a very advanced stage.
The 26-year-old Nigeria international joined Sevilla from Montpellier for €5.5m in January 2025. During his time in LaLiga last season, the forward recorded 10 goals and three assists across 32 appearances.

Multiple reports, including those from Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia, and Tuttomercatoweb, indicate that the agreement is nearing completion. The transfer structure includes a fixed fee of approximately €16m, supplemented by performance-related bonuses tied to both individual and team achievements.
“I promise that I will tell you everything once it is all closed,” director of sport Antonelli told reporters during today’s press conference. “The talks are at a very advanced stage, but there are still some final details to work out.”
Following their Serie B title win last season, Venezia earned automatic promotion to the Italian top flight. The club has already strengthened its squad with several new signings, including the arrival of Albion Rrahmani from Sparta Prague, Armel Bella-Kotchap from Verona, and Ale Gomes from Real Zaragoza, alongside free agents Toma Basic and Thierry Correia.
