Arsenal loanee Charles Sagoe Jr. showcased his talent once more by providing an assist for Kalmar FF in a 2-2 draw against Malmo FF on Monday. After collecting the ball just beyond the halfway line, Sagoe Jr. skillfully passed through several defenders to assist Carl Gustafsson, who finished the move with the opening goal.
The 21-year-old has now registered two goals and eight assists in 15 matches for Kalmar this season.

According to Swedish source Expressen, AIK Fotboll is showing significant interest in acquiring Sagoe Jr. this summer, with negotiations currently taking place regarding a potential transfer.
Sagoe Jr. is currently on loan at Kalmar, with the arrangement set to last until the end of the calendar year. However, AIK is eager to finalize the transfer sooner, with Expressen suggesting it is feasible to terminate his loan early.
Arsenal is likely to consider AIK’s interest seriously, as Sagoe Jr.’s contract runs until 2027. A transfer at this time might be more advantageous than waiting until the end of his loan period when he would have just six months left on his contract.

Sagoe Jr.’s progress over the past year highlights his significant development. After struggling with two previous loan spells, he returned to the Arsenal u21s last summer, where he excelled by scoring or assisting 12 goals in just 14 matches during the first half of the 2025/26 season.
This impressive form led to his current loan in Sweden, and his impactful performances may well pave the way for a permanent transfer soon.
