Arsenal agree to deal with Besiktas for Leandro Trossard
Arsenal confirmed on their club website that they have reached an agreement with Besiktas for the permanent transfer of Leandro Trossard. The club added that the player now has permission to travel to Istanbul to undergo a medical and finalise the move.
Arsenal stated that they will provide further updates once the transfer reaches completion.
Turkish clubs often welcome new signings in a public manner, with fans frequently greeting players at the airport. Arsenal likely chose to confirm the agreement early to manage the process, even though the move remains subject to a medical and the signing of contracts.
Trossard will reportedly sign a three-year deal with an option for a fourth, earning a salary of approximately €7m (£6m) per year. Besiktas and Arsenal have reached a €20m (£17.1m) agreement for the transfer, consisting of an initial €18m with a further €2m in potential add-ons.
