Belgium Make Late Midfield Change Before World Cup Clash Against Spain
Belgium have made a last-minute adjustment to their starting lineup for the World Cup quarter-final match against Spain after Youri Tielemans withdrew due to injury.
Tielemans, the captain for the Red Devils, originally planned to start alongside Nicolas Raskin in midfield. However, the coaching staff brought in Club Brugge midfielder Hans Vanaken to take his place just 12 minutes before the game began.
Belgium confirmed the roster change on their social media channels, stating: “Following an injury during the warm-up, Youri Tielemans is replaced in the starting XI by Hans Vanaken.”
