Charlton Athletic Signs Grace Johnston from Perth Glory
Charlton Athletic has announced the signing of defender Grace Johnston from Perth Glory, confirming the transfer in a post on their official club website yesterday.
The 21-year-old has agreed to a two-year contract with the South London club, which includes the option for an additional year.
Johnston made her move to Perth Glory from the Football West National Training Centre in 2023. She spent a few years with the club before playing for Preston Lions and Keilor Park, and she returned to Glory for the 2025/2026 season.
On the international front, Johnston has represented Australia at various youth levels, reaching the Under-23 team.
Upon joining Charlton Athletic, Johnston expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “I am excited to be here and excited to get started. I am so excited, if you speak to anyone, it has been my dream to play in England. I am excited to play with and against the best players in the world.
“It has been a really good three years, I have been progressing each year which has been really good for my development, and it will be really good to play in some cold weather this time round.”
Johnston marks Charlton Athletic’s second signing of the summer transfer window.
