Norwich City Clinches Resounding 4-0 Victory Over Derby County, Secures First Clean Sheet of the Season
Norwich City head coach Philippe Clement expressed satisfaction not only with the four goals scored but also with the team’s first clean sheet of the season after a decisive 4-0 win against Derby County at Pride Park.
In an interview with BBC Radio Norfolk, Clement remarked, “I’m really pleased with the clean sheet today because I always want to play attacking football but out of a good structure where we don’t give away chances and today they showed a lot of good things around that.”
He emphasized the importance of improving defensive performance, noting, “We know we can score goals so it [defending better] has been a big working point all these weeks and all these months.”
Clement also highlighted the commitment required from offensive players to partake in defensive duties consistently. “We worked really hard about our offensive players also doing their defensive duties all the time and not 50% of the time and you see they made big steps. Today they can play their offensive football but now we’re starting to become more and more of a team.”
