Crystal Palace Secures Forward Lexi Lloyd-Smith on Free Transfer
WSL Full-Time received confirmation of the signing through an official media update from The Eagles this evening.
The 23-year-old forward joins Crystal Palace after parting ways with Bristol City earlier this summer, signing a three-year deal with the South London club.
Lloyd-Smith spent two seasons at Bristol City after joining from Southampton in the summer of 2024. Last season, she made 21 appearances for The Robins in Barclays WSL2, netting 11 goals. She has also previously played for Charlton Athletic in the second tier.
Highly regarded in her youth, the player developed her skills in the academies of both Arsenal and Chelsea.
On the international front, Lloyd-Smith has represented England at various youth levels, reaching as high as the Under-23 category.
Upon completing her transfer to Crystal Palace, Lloyd-Smith expressed her enthusiasm: “It’s almost like it was meant to be – I’m happy to be back in South London, back at home.” She added, “I know I’m going to be playing for something more now – my roots, where I’m from. I’ll always be proud to be from Peckham. It means everything.”
Lloyd-Smith marks Crystal Palace’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window.
