Liverpool did anticipate this scenario. Anfield Watch reported back in April that they saw Bradley Barcola as a ‘market opportunity’ as his contract continues to wind down.

Since then, Barcola has impressed at the World Cup, attracting a great deal of interest. While Liverpool faces competition for his signature, they remain optimistic if PSG decides to sell.

However, it remains uncertain whether PSG is willing to part ways with him. According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool remains the club displaying the most genuine interest in Barcola, while they await PSG to set a clear price tag.

“Understand Liverpool remain the club showing most concrete interest in Bradley Barcola,” he writes. “No truth in [Barcola] links, LFC deal depends on conditions for the exit as price will be set by PSG.

“No talks over new contract so far.”

This transfer saga is set to evolve, as Liverpool waits to either secure Barcola or pursue alternative winger options. If a deal materializes, it is likely to exceed £100m, as PSG is expected to demand a significant fee.
