Genoa to take legal action against Elliot Stroud’s representatives
Sky Sport Italia reports that Genoa will take legal action against Elliot Stroud’s agents, as the Mjällby winger had reportedly signed a pre-contract agreement with the Grifone before making a late decision to join Hull City instead.
Elliot Stroud’s imminent move to Premier League side Hull City is likely to lead to a legal dispute between Genoa and the winger’s representatives.
Stroud’s transfer decision infuriates Genoa
According to Sky Sport Italia, Genoa had an agreement in place with Stroud and his club Mjällby, with the 24-year-old having already signed a pre-contract agreement with the Serie A side.
Stroud later made a surprise decision to join Hull City instead, with Genoa believing the move breached the pre-contract agreement he had already signed.
Hull City haven’t announced Stroud’s transfer yet.
The 24-year-old Sweden international scored seven goals and provided two assists in his last 15 appearances with his club.
He featured in the 2026 World Cup with the Swedish national team, making four appearances, two as a starter.
