Guyana Captain Elliot Bonds Completes Move to Salford City
Guyana captain Elliot Bonds has finalized a transfer to Salford City from Fleetwood Town for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old London-born midfielder has signed a multi-year contract with Salford, adding to his career experience which includes previous stints at Dagenham & Redbridge, Cheltenham Town, and Kidderminster Harriers.
Bonds moved to Fleetwood in 2024. During his initial season there, he earned the supporters’ player of the season award before taking on the role of club captain last year.
He now aims to help Salford City secure promotion from League Two. Speaking to their website, Bonds expressed his optimism about the upcoming campaign.
“I’ve heard great things about pre-season, the new manager and his coaching team,” he said.
“With the team we’re building, with players with heart like myself that we’re signing, I think this season is one where we have to go one step further. If we stick together and everyone brings the best version of themselves, I believe we will achieve that.”
