Ipswich Town Bolster Squad With Baker and Weir Signings
Ipswich Town have announced the signings of winger Ava Baker and defender Kenzie Weir. The Tractor Girls confirmed both deals via official posts on the club website earlier today.
Ipswich Town confirmed Baker’s arrival first. The 20-year-old winger joins on a loan deal from Birmingham City for the 2026/2027 season. Baker previously spent the second half of the last campaign on loan at Ipswich Town, where she made nine appearances and scored one goal. She played a key role in helping the club retain their Barclays WSL2 status following their promotion at the end of the 2024/2025 season.
Ipswich Town’s second deal of the day saw defender Weir return to the club. The 22-year-old moves from Everton on a permanent transfer. Weir also spent the second half of the previous season on loan with The Tractor Girls, making five appearances and scoring two goals. She now aims to build on that momentum during her permanent tenure with the team.
