Lille OSC President Encourages Ayyoub Bouaddi to Remain With Club for Another Year
Lille OSC president Olivier Létang has stated that Ayyoub Bouaddi (18), who is attracting significant interest from Premier League clubs, should continue his development at his current club for at least another year.
Prior to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Bouaddi gained attention for his talent. He made his UEFA Champions League debut at the age of 16 and has piqued the interest of top European clubs, particularly those in the Premier League. His impressive performances for Morocco, especially against Brazil in North America, have increased his market value, leading LOSC to value the midfielder at €100 million, according to The Athletic.

The same publication reported earlier this week that Manchester City is “pushing hard” to secure Bouaddi’s signature. Arsenal and Manchester United are also in the running, but Paris Saint-Germain is not looking to reinforce its midfield this summer.
If a deal is agreed upon, Manchester City intends to keep the Morocco international rather than loan him back to Lille. However, Létang, during a press conference on Thursday, expressed his belief that the player should remain at the Stade Pierre Mauroy for another season.
“We have seen each other since his return from the World Cup. I can’t say what was said. Everything is possible, but my opinion is that he should stay with us another season. My conviction is that there is a strong chance that he stays with us and he would be very happy to do so,” said Létang.
