Liverpool Eyes £85 Million Bid for PSG’s Bradley Barcola as Salah Nears Exit

Liverpool are still searching for a solution in attack.

Mohamed Salah reached an agreement to rip up his £400k per week contract one year early. The Egyptian King now looks close to Besiktas – leaving Andoni Iraola’s side without a starting right-sided attacker.

Yan Diomande was long sought as the No1 choice to replace Salah.

The RB Leipzig winger was the subject of a bid worth up to €100m – which was knocked back by the German side. It now looks as though the 19-year-old Ivorian will STAY with the Red Bull-owned outfit for the season at least.

    New Liverpool attacker required

Richard Hughes will have to move on to other targets – with Said El Mala, Yankuba Minteh and Matias Fernandez-Pardo all associated with an Anfield arrival.

But the ideal solution could very well be Bradley Barcola. The 23-year-old has been with Paris Saint-Germain since 2023 – winning consecutive Champions League titles.

The France international has slipped down the pecking order under Luis Enrique – leading to speculation he could be available for sale.

PSG deny that they would listen to bids for Barcola and have put the message out that they would like him to extend beyond his 2028 contract expiry.

    £85m bid for Barcola imminent

And now comes a report from Sebastien Vidal who claims that bid worth £85m is going in to the French Ligue 1 winners.

“Here we go,” he writes on X.

“Liverpool is stepping up the attack on the Bradley Barcola file. The Reds are preparing an imminent offer, estimated at £85M to try to convince PSG to let go of the 23-year-old French winger, who has had another standout season.

“The English club is making him one of its top offensive priorities for the summer.”

    Bradley Barcola: Situation summary

Bradley Barcola is a 23‑year‑old French forward at Paris Saint‑Germain, primarily deployed off the left but capable across the front line, contracted to PSG until 2028 after his 2023 move from Lyon.

He broke through at OL with a standout 2022‑23, posting seven goals and 11 assists in Ligue 1 and earning a Young Player of the Year nomination before becoming a France regular.

Barcola is an electric wide forward: right‑footed on the left, attacking the inside channel with acceleration, long‑striding ball carries and quick one‑twos.

He profiles more as a facilitator than an out‑and‑out finisher, combining high‑volume progressive runs and cut‑backs with intelligent pressing and off‑ball work in PSG’s front line.

Given PSG’s investment and his upside, any near‑term move would require a premium fee from a Champions League club needing a transition winger rather than a high‑usage primary goalscorer, making England and Spain his most logical eventual next destinations.
