Manchester United Celebrates Comeback Victory Over Roma with Humorous Social Media Retort
Manchester United relished their comeback victory against AS Roma both on the pitch and online, as the Red Devils playfully taunted their Italian opponents with a humorous tweet following the match.
Roma took an early lead with two goals in just 17 minutes at Old Trafford but faltered in the second half, ultimately succumbing to a 3-2 defeat. This marked a disappointing turnaround for the Giallorossi, who could not maintain their initial advantage.
In light of their long-awaited win — the first since September — Manchester United continued the celebrations beyond the field. They turned to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a series of lighthearted posts in celebration of their victory.
As part of their cheeky celebrations, one post showcased stadium screens highlighting the results of previous Champions League matches against Roma, which included an impressive 7-1 win back in April 2007 and a 6-2 triumph in 2021.
The club encapsulated the moment with a fitting caption: “Absolute Cinema.”
The matchup was particularly significant given Manchester United’s struggles prior to the game, while Roma had lost only once in their previous matches across all competitions before meeting the Premier League side.
