AC Milan announced today the signing of Mario Gila Fuentes from S.S. Lazio.

The Spanish defender has signed a contract with the club until 30 June 2031 and will wear the number 34 shirt.

Born in Barcelona on 29 August 2000, Mario Gila progressed through the youth ranks in Spain before joining the Real Madrid Academy. He completed his development with Real Madrid Castilla and made his first-team debut during the 2021/22 season, where he contributed to the squad that secured the La Liga title.

In the summer of 2022, he joined Lazio. Over four seasons, he made 120 appearances and scored 2 goals, building a reputation for consistency while gaining valuable experience in both Serie A and European competitions.

The defender earned his official debut for the Spain U21 team on 23 September 2022. He later received a call-up for the 2023 U21 European Championship, where he made 3 appearances. In 2025, he earned his first selection for the senior national team.
