Amorim Points Out Eight Milan Players Who Frustrated Him in Ferencvaros Defeat

Headline: Milan’s Coach Expresses Frustration After Europa League Defeat Against Ferencvaros

Milan’s 2-0 loss at home to Ferencvaros in the Europa League earlier this week continues to attract attention in Italy. Recent reports have revealed that eight players have disappointed head coach Ruben Amorim with their performances.

Currently positioned fifth in Serie A, the Rossoneri suffered their third Europa League defeat in four matches on Thursday evening, which raises the risk of failing to qualify for the knockout stages.

Amorim appeared visibly frustrated during his post-match press conference, stating, “We cannot afford to do something like this, especially in the first half, in front of our fans, at our home. We can’t do it. We have to improve, otherwise it’s over.” According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Amorim confronted several players in the dressing room after the match to express his displeasure.

Among those criticized was Italy international Alphadjo Cisse, who was substituted at halftime despite being rested during a recent derby against Inter Milan. He was not alone in facing scrutiny, as other rotation players like Davide Bartesaghi, Filippo Terracciano, Ardon Jashari, and Yunus Musah were also deemed to lack the necessary attitude during the match.

Adding to Amorim’s concerns, the team’s performance declined in the second half, even after he introduced several first-team regulars. Notable players such as Mario Gila, Luka Modric, and Christian Pulisic were equally scrutinized for their contributions during the match.

Milan is set to face Genoa in their final Serie A match before the international break, which kicks off at 14:00 GMT on Sunday. A victory is essential for the team to recover from the recent disappointment in Europe.
