Fiorentina have sensationally sacked coach Fabio Grosso after losing the opening three Serie A games of the season, amid reports of tension with director Fabio Paratici.

The Viola certainly had a dismal start to the campaign, as they were crushed 4-0 by Roma, 3-0 at home by newly promoted Frosinone, and 2-1 at home by Torino on Saturday.

That proved to be the final straw, although there were also reports of tension growing between director Paratici and the coach.

Grosso had only been given the job in the summer after an impressive couple of campaigns on the Sassuolo bench, and was rewarded with heavy investments on the transfer market.

However, aside from a 4-1 Coppa Italia victory over Benevento, the results were dire with three defeats out of three in Serie A.
