ടോം ഹിൽ ഓൾഡ്ഹാം അത്ലറ്റിക് ടീമിൽ ചേർന്നു
ഹാരോഗേറ്റ് ടൗൺ വിട്ട മിഡ്ഫീൽഡർ ടോം ഹില്ലിനെ ഓൾഡ്ഹാം അത്ലറ്റിക് സ്വന്തമാക്കി. ഈ വേനൽക്കാലത്താണ് 23-കാരനായ താരം ഹാരോഗേറ്റ് ടൗണിൽ നിന്നും പടിയിറങ്ങിയത്.
പ്രീ-സീസൺ കാലയളവിൽ ഹാരോഗേറ്റിനൊപ്പം പരിശീലനം നടത്താൻ ക്ഷണിക്കപ്പെട്ട താരമായിരുന്നു ടോം ഹിൽ. തുടർന്ന് ഓൾഡ്ഹാം അത്ലറ്റിക്കിൽ ട്രയൽസിൽ പങ്കെടുത്ത ശേഷമാണ് കരാറിലെത്തിയത്.
ലിവർപൂളിന്റെ അക്കാദമിയിലൂടെ വളർന്ന മുൻ വെയിൽസ് അണ്ടർ-21 താരമാണ് ഹിൽ. കഴിഞ്ഞ ആഴ്ച ഷെഫീൽഡ് വെനസ്ഡേയ്ക്കെതിരെ നടന്ന സൗഹൃദ മത്സരത്തിൽ ഓൾഡ്ഹാം 4-0 ന് വിജയിച്ചപ്പോൾ, അതിൽ ഒരു ഗോൾ നേടാൻ ഹില്ലിന് സാധിച്ചു.
“പ്രീ-സീസണിലെ കാര്യങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം വളരെ മികച്ചതായിരുന്നു. കഴിഞ്ഞ ആഴ്ച ഗോൾ നേടാനായത് വളരെ സവിശേഷമായ നിമിഷമാണ്. ഇനിയും അത്തരം മികച്ച നിമിഷങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ടാകുമെന്ന് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു,” എന്ന് താരം ക്ലബ്ബിന്റെ ഔദ്യോഗിക വെബ്സൈറ്റിനോട് പറഞ്ഞു. പുതിയ സീസണിനായുള്ള കാത്തിരിപ്പിലാണെന്നും ക്ലബ്ബിന്റെ ജേഴ്സി അണിഞ്ഞ് മത്സരിക്കാൻ ആവേശത്തോടെ കാത്തിരിക്കുകയാണെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു.
Oldham Athletic have signed midfielder Tom Hill following his departure from Harrogate Town this summer.
The 23-year-old has been on trial with the Latics having initially been invited to train with Harrogate during pre-season.

Hill, a former Wales Under-21 international who came through Liverpool’s academy, scored for Oldham during their 4-0 pre-season friendly win over Sheffield Wednesday last weekend.
“Everything has been promising during pre-season and scoring last week was a special moment – hopefully it’s the first of many good memories here,” he told the club website.
“I’m excited for the season ahead and can’t wait to pull on the shirt competitively.”
