Sergio Busquets has backed Barcelona to end their long wait for Champions League glory, confident that Hansi Flick has assembled a squad capable of going all the way this season.
Busquets, now working as Juliano Belletti’s assistant with Barcelona’s reserve side, remains closely connected to the club and is clearly encouraged by what he has seen from Flick’s team.
Barça have not lifted the European Cup since 2015, and the former midfielder would love to see that drought finally come to an end.
Busquets sees Barça with genuine Champions League potential
Busquets’ optimism comes with an important caveat: the campaign is still in its early stages. Yet his assessment is clear.
He believes Flick has both the coaching ability and the quality of players required to make Barcelona serious contenders for the Champions League trophy.
“I really hope so! We’re all very happy and excited. There’s still a long way to go; the season has only just begun.

“But Barça have a great manager and so many great players, so why not? I hope we can do it,” he said, as per Mundo Deportivo.
