Neymar and Neto Exchange Insults on Social Media After Poker Controversy
Neymar’s rant on social media, after being criticized for playing poker during Santos’ match, continues to stir up Brazilian football this Thursday (23).
Hours after posting the video on his Instagram profile, the Peixe star appeared on social media again, this time to insult former Corinthians player and TV host Neto, from Band‘s show “Os Donos da Bola.”

The conflict escalated after Neto criticized Neymar’s initial remarks.
The former Timão No. 10 referred to the Santos forward as a “little baby” and claimed he had “been on vacation for seven years.”
“Look at Santos, with Neymar now saying, ‘Can I train?’. You can train, you can play, you can be a billionaire, you can do whatever you want. What you can’t do is think we’re idiots. What can’t happen, Neymar, is for me to think you’re a child. You’re a baby! A little baby! Going on Instagram (and saying) ‘oh, can I train now?’. Childish stuff, little baby, little kid! Such an unnecessary thing, from someone as great as you. And Santos are broke! You think you have the right to say ‘I’m on my day off’. You’ve been off for more than seven years, more than four years, more than three years, you’ve been off ever since you went to the World Cup.”
In response, Neymar commented on an Instagram post by journalist and influencer Thiago Asmar — Pilhado — directing insults at Neto.
“Annoying as f***… go f*** yourself, you idiot,” Neymar commented.
