AC Milan can confirm that Berkay Karaca has undergone surgery in Varese to repair a fracture of the fourth metatarsal in his right foot.

The operation was successfully performed by Dr Carlo Montoli and his team, in the presence of Club doctor Andrea Bulgheroni. The defender has since been discharged from hospital and has already begun his rehabilitation programme at Milanello.
