Premier League Weekend Sees No 14:00 GMT Kick-off
Unlike many Premier League weekends this season, this Sunday will not feature a 14:00 GMT kick-off, a time slot commonly utilized in the league’s schedule.
Typically, at least one match takes place at 14:00 each Sunday, and there have been instances this season where multiple matches occurred at this time. This surge is due to four Premier League teams participating in the Europa League and Conference League on Thursday evenings.
Last weekend, four matches kicked off early on Sunday, while only two games were played in the traditional Saturday 15:00 time slot.
This weekend, however, fans can expect five games at 15:00 on Saturday, with only one match set for Sunday, where Liverpool will face Arsenal at 16:30.
In addition to the Saturday matches, fans can look forward to kick-offs at 12:30, 17:30, and 20:00 on Saturday, followed by a final match at 20:00 on Monday.
The lack of an early Sunday match is a result of Aston Villa’s participation in the Champions League this season.
Villa’s scheduled match against Fulham at Villa Park was initially set as the 14:00 match for Sunday afternoon.
However, due to Unai Emery’s team preparing for a Champions League clash with Barcelona on Tuesday, November 3, the Fulham game has been rescheduled to 20:00 on Saturday.
Since Sky Sports was originally set to air the match, the broadcaster will also cover the rearranged fixture.
