An article in L’Equipe has revealed significant news for PSG supporters regarding the tenure of coaches in Ligue 1. The piece highlights that only Luis Enrique and Didier Digard from Le Havre have remained in their positions for over two years, underscoring the high turnover rates among managers in the French league.
“In recent months, a new agreement has been reached to extend his contract until 2030, although this has not yet been officially announced,” L’Equipe reported.
This comes after a similar pattern; Enrique’s previous extension was signed in October 2024 but not announced until February 2025.

This contract extension is notable not only because it allows PSG to retain one of the world’s premier managers but also indicates their ongoing commitment to building trust with him. The club is offering him full support in his plans, and in return, they are enjoying considerable success.
Enrique is currently the longest-serving coach in Ligue 1, and by 2030, his tenure could create an even larger gap with the next longest-serving manager.
