Ribeiro and Ohashi Nearing Return to Blackburn

Blackburn Rovers Welcome Key Players Back for Championship Clash Against Swansea City

Blackburn Rovers will see the return of Yuri Ribeiro and Yuki Ohashi to the squad as they prepare for their Championship match against Swansea City this Saturday. Both players have recovered from hamstring injuries that kept them out of action, with Ribeiro sidelined for the past month and Ohashi unavailable for two months.

In addition, Kristi Montgomery is set to make his comeback after missing last week’s victory over Wrexham. Manager Tony Mowbray shared the news in an interview with BBC Radio Lancashire, stating, “Yuri and Yuki are both going to travel and are both available for the bench, which is good news for us. Kristi’s trained fully so fingers crossed there’s no reaction with that.”

On a less positive note, Mathias Jorgensen will remain out of the squad due to a setback from his hamstring injury earlier this month. Mowbray explained, “He’s not travelling. I think as well as dealing with the injury, we need to deal with the psychological side with him.” He added that Jorgensen has been given a few days to spend with his family as he recovers, emphasizing the difficulty of his journey. “To break down when he was on the cusp of getting back to full fitness is tough for him,” Mowbray remarked, expressing hope that Jorgensen will be back in training within three weeks.
