Reports in Italy indicate that Roma are preparing a €30m offer for Strasbourg winger Diego Moreira, although the French club’s financial expectations remain significantly higher.

According to Sky Sport Italia and Sport Mediaset, Roma intend to submit a formal bid for the Belgian winger that includes a 10% sell-on clause.

Roma set to send offer for Moreira

Roma are currently seeking attacking reinforcements for the 2026-27 season. While Mason Greenwood was their primary target, he is expected to join Fenerbahce from Marseille, forcing the Giallorossi to shift their focus toward Moreira.

Sky reports that finalizing an agreement with Strasbourg will prove difficult, as the French club currently demands a €50m transfer fee.

Sky adds that the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is working to structure a transfer deal that could persuade Strasbourg to sanction the move.

Moreira previously played for Chelsea before joining Strasbourg in 2024. The Premier League club retains a buy-back option that allows them to match any offer Strasbourg receives for the winger.

Moreira represented Belgium as part of their squad during the 2026 World Cup.
