Reijnders joined City for £46.5m last summer from AC Milan, contributing seven goals in 50 appearances for the team.
As the 2025/26 season progressed, he lost his position in the starting lineup, with former manager Pep Guardiola opting to pair captain Bernardo Silva with Rodri.
Although Silva has moved on and Rodri, who is sought by Barcelona, might depart, City has added Elliot Anderson from Forest for £116m.
City is also exploring options for other midfield talent, including Morocco’s Ayyoub Bouaddi and Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez, suggesting that Reijnders may be allowed to move on.
