Wakefield Trinity back-rower Isaiah Vagana has signed a new five-year contract with the Super League club.

The 26-year-old joined Wakefield from the New Zealand Warriors for the 2024 season and played a key role in helping the team earn promotion from the Championship.

He has since made 38 appearances across the Super League and the Challenge Cup, including 16 matches so far this season.

Vagana told the club website: “As a team we’re continually getting better and I want to be a part of the team that wins competitions with Wakefield Trinity.”

Wakefield head coach Daryl Powell added: “Isaiah came into the club as a pretty raw player and he’s been outstanding for us this year especially and this feels like a re-signing that is big for the club.”
