Vasco and Palmeiras Set for Copa do Brasil Semifinal Decider
Vasco and Palmeiras have revealed their lineups ahead of the crucial second leg in their Copa do Brasil semifinal. The match is scheduled for Sunday, August 8, at São Januário, with the outcome determining who secures the second place in the final, as Grêmio has already advanced.
In the first leg, Palmeiras claimed a narrow 1-0 victory at Nubank Parque, thanks to a goal from Maurício. Should Vasco manage a win by one goal, the match will be decided by penalties.
Vasco
Vasco faces a setback as Saldivia will not participate this Sunday after being sent off in the first leg. As a result, the team makes three changes to its lineup. Gabriel, Cuiabano, and Andrés Gómez will replace Saldivia, Lucas Piton, and Adson in the starting eleven.
Palmeiras
Meanwhile, Palmeiras maintains their winning strategy by naming the same starting lineup as in the first leg. Key attacking players include Maurício, Jhon Arias, and Flaco López. Andreas Pereira and Vitor Roque will begin on the bench for this crucial match.
As both teams prepare to fight for a spot in the final, the tension is mounting ahead of this decisive encounter.
