Villarreal 0-6 PSG: Back-to-Back Champions League Winners Dominate Yellow Submarine

PSG Dominates Villarreal in UEFA Champions League Clash

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) reinforced their top position in the UEFA Champions League with a commanding victory over Villarreal, triumphing by an impressive margin. The French club, known as Les Parisiens, extended their winning streak to ten games across all competitions.

The match took place in Spain as PSG aimed to continue their exceptional form following notable victories against Manchester City and FC Barcelona, both of which ended 4-2. From the onset, PSG demonstrated their attacking prowess.

PSG quickly capitalized on a corner kick, with Willian Pacho setting up João Neves for a precise strike that found the top corner of goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi’s net. Villarreal’s struggles heightened as Gulacsi conceded possession to Maghnes Akliouche, who assisted Désiré Doué for the second goal. Just moments later, Villarreal was dispossessed again, allowing Neves’ volley to fall to Senny Mayulu, who scored easily, making it 3-0. Despite Villarreal’s attempts to regroup, another turnover allowed Fabian Ruiz to score PSG’s fourth goal with a clean low shot.

The Champions League favorites could have increased their lead further if not for some missed opportunities. Villarreal seemed determined to prevent any additional goals as their offensive efforts were effectively neutralized by PSG’s defense. In the second half, PSG continued to exploit Villarreal’s defensive frailties. Vitinha, stationed at the halfway line, spotted Ruiz’s run, and the 2026 World Cup winner made light work of Renato Veiga to secure his brace.

PSG controlled the game’s pace with Villarreal unable to respond. Luis Enrique utilized the comfortable lead to rest key players, giving young talents Quentin Ndjantou and David Boly a chance to play. Notably, 17-year-old Ndjantou made an immediate impact, scoring just two minutes after his introduction with a deflected shot.

With this victory, PSG maintained a perfect record in this season’s Champions League and secured their tenth consecutive win in all competitions, solidifying their position as a formidable force in Europe.
