Zinedine Zidane Highlights Desire Doue’s Exceptional Talent in Press Conference
Zinedine Zidane, the head coach of the French national football team, has once again expressed his admiration for young talent Desire Doue during a recent press conference leading up to their upcoming matches.
Barely a France press conference passes without Zidane praising Doue’s efforts and performances. Zidane spoke highly of the young player at the squad announcement this week, stating, “Yes [he impresses me] but like all my players. I already love them all.” He continued to elaborate on Doue’s skill and work ethic, saying, “Besides, it’s true that what Désiré has been doing for a while now is magnificent. He’s a young player with a lot of talent and he listens.”
The coach even went as far as to draw a comparison between himself and Doue during his playing days, noting, “What I like is that he wants to improve and win things. He’s a great listener. I like what he does on the pitch. I see a bit of myself in him, because I wanted to improve, to listen to the veterans and the people around me, and that’s what he’s doing.”
Receiving such praise from Zidane is considered one of the highest honors for a young French player, as the legendary coach recognizes the potential in Doue.
