Barcelona goalkeeper Aron Yaakobishvili has returned from his loan stint at FC Andorra and is currently training with Hansi Flick’s first team; however, all parties expect him to seek a new loan in search of regular playing time, reports Mundo Deportivo.
The 20-year-old goalkeeper is one of the academy players taking part in Barcelona’s pre-season trainings after spending last season on loan at Andorra.

Although he has rejoined the squad, his long-term future remains uncertain.
For Yaakobishvili, the priority is clear: he wants to play regularly.
Valuable experience at Andorra
The Hungarian goalkeeper gained valuable experience during his time with Andorra, where he served as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper for most of the season, playing nearly every match until mid-February before he eventually lost his starting position.
Barcelona was reportedly impressed with his performances during the first half of the season.

At one point, the club even viewed him as a potential backup to Joan Garcia in the first team when Wojciech Szczesny’s future was still in question.
Another loan the preferred option
However, Barcelona’s goalkeeping lineup has become clearer, with Garcia being positioned as the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper while Szczesny fulfills the role of his deputy.
The third goalkeeper spot is expected to be competed for by academy prospects Iker Rodriguez and Eder Aller, while Marc-Andre ter Stegen is still navigating a loan move to Ajax.
Rather than vie for the third goalkeeper position, Yaakobishvili prefers another loan that would allow him to continue playing consistently. As a result, a second temporary move appears to be the most likely scenario.

Ready for the next step
During his time with Barcelona, Yaakobishvili has made three appearances for Barça Atletic. The goalkeeper has already made his senior international debut for Hungary and believes he is ready to progress beyond academy football.

He is not alone in this situation, as fellow academy talents like Toni Fernandez, Guille Fernandez, and Jofre Torrents are also seen as having completed their development phases within the academy.
As a result, Barcelona is looking for opportunities for these players to continue growing at a more competitive level.

For Toni and Guille, any future loan move is expected to follow the signing of new long-term contracts with the club.
For Yaakobishvili, however, the immediate objective is straightforward: secure another season of regular football and enhance his development away from Camp Nou, with reports suggesting there is no shortage of interest in him.
