Headline: Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala Collapses During Match, Medical Staff Responds Immediately
Bayern Munich has announced that midfielder Jamal Musiala will address the recent incidents regarding his health after collapsing during a match for the second time in just four days.
On Tuesday, Musiala fell to the ground six minutes after being substituted into Bayern’s 4-2 friendly win against Heidenheim. He appeared visibly disoriented while medical personnel attended to him before he was assisted off the field.
This alarming incident follows a similar collapse that occurred during Saturday’s friendly match, where Bayern triumphed 3-1 over RB Leipzig in Munich.
Max Eberl, Bayern’s sporting director, confirmed on Tuesday, “Jamal will speak about this in the near future. We knew about it and we are aware of the situation. He’s in the dressing room, getting changed and taking a shower.”
The rise in temperature, exceeding 30 degrees Celsius, was speculated to have contributed to Musiala’s distress on Saturday. The 23-year-old previously faced a significant injury, missing the first half of last season due to an ankle fracture sustained during the 2025 Club World Cup. He made a comeback in the latter half of the season and featured in three of Germany’s four matches during the 2026 World Cup.

Hot conditions were thought to have played a role in Musiala’s collapse on Saturday, with the temperature in excess of 30C.
Musiala missed the first six months of last season after breaking his ankle at the 2025 Club World Cup, but returned in the second half of the campaign and started three of Germany’s four games at the 2026 World Cup.
