Manchester City Unveils Special Edition Shirt in Collaboration with Blossoms

Blossoms Collaborate with Manchester City for Charity Kit Release

The connection between local music and Manchester City fans remains strong, particularly through the iconic Britpop band Oasis. A new kit release now brings another Greater Manchester artist into the spotlight.

Stockport indie band Blossoms, avid supporters of the club, have partnered with the Blues to create a limited edition of charity shirts that commemorate four decades of local outreach efforts.

As part of City in the Community’s 40th anniversary celebration during the 2026/27 season, the team’s main sponsor Etihad Airways will step down from its front-of-shirt position to allow for the band’s logo to feature prominently on the new 2024/25 away kit.

In a recent announcement on the club’s official website, the special charity shirt offers a refreshing twist on a popular design.

Blossoms will occupy the main sponsorship space on the shirt, while the Etihad Airways logo moves to the sleeve. A dedicated CITC logo will also be featured inside the neck to commemorate the anniversary.

Last month, Blossoms celebrated their fifth Official UK Number One album with ‘Songs From The Wedding Cake’ and are gearing up for a nationwide arena tour.

Shirts will be available in limited sizes, with the first batch released exclusively at the new flagship CityStore. Additional sizes will go on sale at the band’s upcoming homecoming shows at Manchester’s Co-op Live in November and December.

Four Decades of Supporting Greater Manchester

Established in 1986, City in the Community has spent 40 years implementing health, education, and social inclusion programs for youth across Greater Manchester. All profits from the special shirt release will directly support the charity, aiding its ongoing efforts and expansion in the local community.

To enhance the campaign’s impact, Manchester City will match every fan donation made to the foundation pound-for-pound until the end of May, up to £200,000.

As Enzo Maresca’s team strives for success on the field, this collaboration between local artists, sponsors, and Manchester City offers fans another compelling reason to support their community off the pitch.

On the field, Enzo Maresca and his players will be eager to build on their winning performance in the UEFA Champions League, following a 2-3 victory over RB Leipzig, as they prepare for their next Premier League match against Nottingham Forest.
