Gabriel Aspires to Win Ballon d’Or

JJ Gabriel Aspirations High as Move to Real Madrid Looms

Manchester United forward JJ Gabriel has expressed his ambition to win the Ballon d’Or as he approaches a transfer to Real Madrid. The 16-year-old player remains registered with United but has been training independently in Spain after leaving the club and relocating with his family.

Gabriel has reportedly reached a verbal agreement to join Real Madrid, although a formal deal has yet to be finalized.

Recently, a representative from the Spanish news outlet Marca approached Gabriel after one of his training sessions, presenting him with a copy of their newspaper featuring a front-page article about his anticipated transfer to the Spanish club. According to the report, Gabriel shared his aspirations in English, stating, “My dream is to win a Ballon d’Or.”

If Gabriel departs from Manchester United, the club is entitled to compensation, although the amount may be reduced if he signs with a team outside of the Premier League.

While no official negotiations have taken place between clubs, sources informed BBC Sport that Real Madrid has verbally agreed on terms with both Gabriel and his agents.

Gabriel, who made a notable impact by scoring a hat-trick on his UEFA Youth League debut, has acquired a European Union passport, which is expected to facilitate his move to a club beyond England. Last season, he was recognized as the Premier League’s Under-18 Player of the Season, achieving this honor even though he was only 14 years old when the season commenced.
