Jose Mourinho Returns to Real Madrid to Lead Preseason Training
Significant changes are expected as Jose Mourinho returns to Real Madrid after a gap of 13 years. He takes charge of the Merengue team’s training again tomorrow, July 13th, aiming to demonstrate that he maintains the ability to succeed at the highest level of European football.
Given the manager’s long-standing reputation, many expected him to return to the Spanish capital with a strict set of demands and a desire for total autonomy over his plans for the squad.
While that expectation holds some truth, the manager known as “The Special One” has evolved significantly over the years. Although he has presented specific requests to the club, he also shows a willingness to adapt and work with the existing resources available at Real Madrid.
As Diario AS reports, this flexibility is evident in his decision to work with Antonio Pintus. Pintus, the club’s general coordinator of performance across all categories, has joined Mourinho’s staff, and the two have agreed to collaborate for the benefit of the team.
Although the Italian fitness coach has worked at Real Madrid for some time, he and Mourinho did not work together during the manager’s initial tenure with Los Blancos. Only a few club staff members remain from that period, including team delegate Chendo, who will continue in his role.
