This development effectively concludes one of the most closely followed transfer stories for Barcelona this summer, while also reinforcing Raphinha’s wish to remain at the Camp Nou under coach Hansi Flick.
Despite weeks of speculation linking Raphinha with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia, the winger has remained steadfast throughout the transfer window, making it clear that his priority has always been to continue with Barcelona.

Al-Hilal was willing to meet Barcelona’s valuation and offered Raphinha a significantly improved financial package compared to his existing deal in Catalonia.
However, Raphinha’s decision was never about finances; he consistently prioritized remaining with Barcelona.
The opportunity to compete in La Liga and the Champions League outweighed any financial incentives from Saudi Arabia.
This stance ultimately left Al-Hilal with little option but to explore other targets in the transfer market.

Al-Hilal End Raphinha Chase
With Raphinha unwilling to leave Barcelona, Al-Hilal has now shifted its focus elsewhere.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the Saudi club has reached a full agreement to sign Crysencio Summerville from West Ham.
The deal is expected to be worth £55 million in guaranteed fees, with an additional £10 million in performance-related incentives, after the Dutch winger approved the transfer and authorized his medical examination.
The addition of Summerville addresses the left-wing position Al-Hilal targeted throughout the summer with their pursuit of Raphinha.
Consequently, their interest in the Barcelona winger has concluded, bringing clarity to one of the club’s significant transfer sagas.
