Emirates to Remove ‘Fly Better’ Slogan from Arsenal Shirts in 2027/28
Footy Headlines report that after many years of Emirates promoting themselves with front-of-shirt sponsorship deals reading ‘Fly Emirates’ or ‘Emirates – Fly Better’, the logo will be changed in 2027/28 to simply read ‘Emirates’.
This season’s shirts will continue to use the ‘Emirates – Fly Better’ logo, with Arsenal’s 2026/27 home shirt already having been on sale for a while now.
But from next season, the Gunners’ shirts will use the simplified branding, as will the likes of Real Madrid and AC Milan.
Whether Arsenal also use the same branding on their shirts in 2028/29 remains to be seen as the Emirates sponsorship deal is currently set to expire in 2028.
That will bring the collaboration to 22 years, and it certainly wouldn’t be a surprise to see the two extending their partnership once again. But nothing has been confirmed on that front yet.
One thing to note is that the naming rights to the Emirates Stadium also expires in 2028, as part of a deal agreed in 2012. So if the partnership ends, Arsenal will be looking for both a new shirt sponsor and a new stadium sponsor in a couple of years.
Arsenal have been sponsored by Emirates since 2006, following a four-year stint with O2.
The Gunners’ invincible season in 2003/04 has meant the O2 era is often remembered fondly, particularly as the subsequent Emirates partnership went 20 years before Arsenal’s first Premier League title success with it.
Mikel Arteta’s squad will be looking to quickly add a second success in 2026/27.
