Roma Targets Endrick as Search for New Attacker Continues
Roma is currently searching for new attacking talent to bolster its squad.
Alejandro Garnacho has dominated recent transfer discussions, though Chelsea’s high financial demands continue to hinder progress for the Roman club.
The club also reconsidered Crysencio Summerville as an option, but the player’s high price tag remains a significant obstacle.
The latest suggestion, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, is Endrick. The Brazilian player, who is currently with Real Madrid, has performed well in Ligue 1 this season while on loan at Lyon.
Although he earned a call-up from Carlo Ancelotti for the World Cup, his recent performances have failed to impress. Roma may pursue the striker if Real Madrid remains open to a loan deal, though José Mourinho poses a potential complication.
The former Roma manager did not depart the capital on positive terms with the Friedkin family, a factor that could influence negotiations for Endrick. Last year, the loan agreement with Lyon included an innovative financial structure: the French club paid €1 million, with a €200,000 discount applied for every five games the Brazilian talent played.
Roma might attempt to secure the player using a similar arrangement, though the outcome depends on the former manager’s influence. While Real Madrid faces a shortage of depth in its attack, the 2006-born forward could find more consistent playing time under Gian Piero Gasperini at the Giallorossi.
