Martin Ødegaard Finds Top Form During World Cup Campaign
Martin Ødegaard is quietly delivering a superb performance at the World Cup. Although the Norway star struggled with injuries for most of the 2025/26 domestic season, he has made a tremendous comeback on the international stage.
During this evening’s match against England in Miami, Ødegaard provided another assist as Andreas Schjelderup fired the opening goal into the corner of the net.
The Arsenal captain recorded just one goal and six assists throughout his Premier League campaign, but he appears to have rediscovered his elite form this summer.
After setting up another goal in the quarter-final, the midfielder has now tallied four assists in five World Cup matches.
Only France star Michael Olise currently has more assists in the tournament. It is impressive company for the Norway playmaker to keep.
