Chelsea has confirmed that they have accepted a loan proposal from Napoli for defender Benoit Badiashile, which includes an option to purchase him.

The 25-year-old, who has represented France at the international level twice, has received clearance to travel to Italy for the finalization of a move valued at an initial loan fee of £2.6 million, with potential add-ons reaching £850,000.

Furthermore, Napoli will have the opportunity to secure Badiashile’s transfer for £23.1 million in the summer of next year.

This agreement marks a significant reduction from Chelsea’s initial asking price of £30 million earlier in the transfer window.

Throughout the summer, Badiashile has been identified for a possible transfer after experiencing difficulties in securing a regular starting position at Stamford Bridge. He was among the players excluded from training under the new management of Xabi Alonso.

Since joining Chelsea for £32.7 million in 2023, Badiashile has faced several injury challenges.
