Barcelona Aims to Secure Orian Goren’s Future
Barcelona is set to tackle Orian Goren’s contract situation as Hansi Flick expresses increasing confidence in the 17-year-old midfielder’s potential to join the senior squad in the future.
As reported by SPORT, the German manager views the Israeli talent as a ‘differential’ player and aims to have him involved in first-team training while the club strategizes for his long-term commitment.
Goren’s role within La Masia has gained significant attention from Barcelona’s coaching staff.
Flick’s plan entails integrating Goren into the senior setting to expedite his development rather than limiting his growth solely within the academy.
Flick Wants to Keep Orian Goren Close to Barcelona’s First Team
Flick has shown a keen interest in tracking emerging talents from Barcelona’s academy.
In this context, he has identified young players like Goren and Ebrima Tunkara as two key players he wishes to have much closer to the senior team.

This move represents a significant milestone for Goren, as training with established first-team players will challenge him with higher technical and tactical demands, as well as the intensity needed at the top level.
Barcelona’s goal is to gradually integrate the midfielder into Flick’s working environment while devising a long-term development plan.
The club aims for a step-by-step integration process instead of rushing him into a starting position on the first team.
It is crucial to note that Goren has already sampled senior-level football with Barcelona.
He had the opportunity to play alongside senior teammates during the Joan Gamper Trophy.
Impressive Performances Earn International Recognition
Despite still being in his second year of youth football, Goren has become a vital member of the Barça Athletic team.

He has played in six matches, registering two assists and proving he can compete at a higher level than his age group.
These strong performances have also earned him his first international call-up with Israel, marking an important step in his career.
Barcelona Sees Goren’s Renewal as an Investment in the Future
Barcelona’s immediate focus lies in addressing Goren’s contractual situation with a sporting project that outlines a realistic path to the first team.
His current contract is set to last until 2028, and the club is eager to offer him a renewal.
It is crucial to recognize that Goren has significant growth potential ahead.
While his youth team contributions and international recognition lay a solid foundation, securing a place in Flick’s first team will demand consistent performance and ongoing development.
