The club then returned with an enhanced package of approximately €60 million, which also failed, with City reiterating their need for a greater overall fee before considering Rodri’s transfer.

Current reports indicate that Manchester City aims for a deal worth around €70 million.

It is important to note that Barcelona may not have to pay this amount all at once.
